Radiant Collection

My first complete set (not a proper set I know!) was the Guardians Rising Radiant Collection. I pulled them all myself except Slurpuff and full art Sylveon EX which I was pretty gutted about because that’s my favourite card from the set and I had to buy it! I don’t know why I couldn’t pull Slurpuff though haha just unlucky.

I pulled 4 Mega Gardevoir EXs and 2 super cute Pikachu full arts which I’ve added to the end of the set because there was space. I love this set, I’d love to collect the original Radiant Collection as well but the packs are too expensive for me I’d have to buy the cards individually. I do have 4 already, 3 full arts because they’re so cute I bought them.

2 KOREAN GX Ultra Shiny Booster Boxes

These Korean boxes are so much cheaper than the Japanese ones. For me they are 1/4 of the price including postage.

Each box contains 15 packs instead of the usual 10 in the Japanese boxes so you do get more packs. However, you are not guaranteed a GX in every pack. The shiny and full art ratio per box seems the same. I got 2 regular shiny cards and 1 full art shiny per box. I only got 1 prism per box unlike the Japanese where I got 2 if I remember rightly. I got 2 GX cards per box instead of 10 in the Japanese boxes.

The boxes are obviously wider since they contain more packs. Each one of my boxes conveniently came with 3 plain black sleeves for the shiny cards.

As for the cards, all the regular ones are reverse holo which look really good. Every card is super shiny and reflective including the energies which I love. The shiny cards are still textured and look really cool. The back of the cards are the regular blue with the pokeball and Pokémon text.

My pulls – one box I pulled completely new (to me) shiny cards. Noibat, Buzzwole and Silvally full art. Noibat was my favourite pull of them all. The other box I already had the Japanese versions of the shiny cards but since I will be putting the Korean cards in a separate collection I’m glad I got them. I got Quagsire, Sudowoodo and Darkrai full art.

Overall I really liked the cards especially the holo energy cards and would buy more of these Korean boxes!

Black Star Promos

My plan is to collect all of the black star promos so I ordered about 14 the other week. I only have a few myself so I will have to buy most of them to complete my collection. Here’s the Pikachu promos I received, I think they look really cool all together!

Burning Shadows Booster Box!

I got some amazing pulls from this box but the quality of the cards was really terrible.

I got 2 full art GX’s and a full art trainer and 5 GX cards so I was so excited! Full art Guzma looks so cool! And Salazzle and Tapu Fini are so shiny and the colours are so bright they look way better than I was expecting.

Unfortunately the back of the 3 full arts are terrible. They look like they have been scraped across concrete before being put in the boosters. Full of scratches which I have tried to capture in my pictures. The text on the front was the same, looks scratched off but not as noticeable as the back. If I was someone who grades cards I’d be very upset but for me I put them in my collection so it is fine. The regular GX cards were incredibly off centre which was also disappointing but I already have most of them so no problem.

Overall an excellent box!

Rainbow Rare Raichu!

I purchased this card last week! It seems to be the most expensive and difficult to find (and one of the best looking in my opinion!) so I’m very glad I have it in my collection. Not too many to go before I’ve completed my favourite set Shining Legends!

My Last 2 GX Ultra Shiny Booster Boxes

I think these will be my last 2 boxes as I have so many spares now and nothing to do with them.

So I got shiny Espeon which I was so happy about! It’s so bright and green it looks really nice. And of course I love the shiny Greninja I pulled as well, it’s shiny form is so cool looking. I was so happy to pull another full art trainer as I think they look so good. As for getting a THIRD shiny Alolan Vulpix! I was not pleased. There are so many shiny cards in this set and I got the same one 3 times. Overall 2 great boxes!

Roaring Skies Booster Box!

This was the best Booster Box I have opened so far!

I pulled 5 EX’s and 3 full art cards. And one of the full arts was mega Rayquaza EX! I also love how the Winona card looks.

This was a very Rayquaza themed box for me and I was very happy with the pulls! I couldn’t believe I got so many!

Team Up Booster Box!

I was so excited to open this when it came out! I pulled 2 tag team cards, one being full art Magikarp and Wailord which was my favourite card I got, Brock’s Grit is a close second. Out of the regular GX cards I really liked Cobalion because it was SO shiny.

I noticed the texture on the full arts was less prominent than previous sets, the cards felt nice but if I had to choose I think I prefer the more textured ones.
